18 torrent sites banned from streaming, downloading by Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt-starrer
Big relief for the makers of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva as the Delhi High Court banned a total of 18 sites from showing Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s film. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film will be released in theaters on Friday.

With just a few days left until the theatrical release of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva”, great relief has come for the creators. The Delhi High Court on Monday banned a total of 18 notorious websites from streaming or downloading filmmaker Aya Mukerji’s highly anticipated movie. The decision comes days before the film’s September 9 release.
Amid calls for a boycott of ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’, the court order comes as a big relief to the creator. According to reports, the illegal streaming of “Brahmastra” has been banned. Not only that, but the court also banned the viewing, downloading, hosting and rebroadcasting of the film.

The decision is hailed by the makers especially as several films have faced the scorch of being leaked on several torrent websites including Tamil Rockers. The movies were leaked on these notorious sites just hours after their theatrical release and were available for download in HD quality. From Gangubai Kathiawadi to RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Laal Singh Chaddha, Karthikeya 2 and many more have been victims of piracy as the movies have been leaked on multiple websites.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had a busy schedule ahead of the film’s release. This is the first time the couple will be seen together on the big screen. Recently, the two were in Hyderabad for promotions for the film where they were joined by filmmakers SS Rajamouli and Karan Johar, and actors Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy.
Brahmastra, a mythological trilogy, was directed by “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani” actor Ayan Mukerji. This film happens to be Ayan’s third director after “Wake Up Side” and YJHD. Interestingly, this also marks the third collaboration between best friends Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji. Meanwhile, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva also features actors Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in key roles.
